Publishers Summary
Kids at school think that being an atheist, you worship the devil, and you think that the devil is the best thing in the whole wide world. When they nag me about the devil I tell them that an atheist doesn't believe in the devil. And also, I'm sorta, I'm not an atheist really. I'm sorta confused. Teenage Diaries producer Joe Richman gives teenagers tape recorders to document their lives. Ricky Sherman from Buffalo Grove, IL is 14 years old. Like most children, he has grown up with the lessons his parents taught him. His father is an atheist and now Ricky is starting to rethink his beliefs, values, and the culture he was raised with. This is Ricky's story as originally heard on National Public Radio®'s All Things Considered®.
