How are these lists calculated?
The method used to calculate the lists on this page are as follows:
Best Selling eBooks: Recent
Lists the eBooks with the highest number of unit sales over the
past two weeks. (Unit sales are simply the number of copies of each
title sold, only eBooks that are not free are counted.)
Best Selling Authors: Recent
Lists the authors with the highest total number of unit sales for
all of their eBooks sold within the past two weeks. (Unit sales are simply the number of copies of each
title sold, only eBooks that are not free are counted.)
Best Selling eBooks: 6 Months
Lists the eBooks with the highest number of unit sales over the
past 6 months. (Unit sales are simply the number of copies of each
title sold, only eBooks that are not free are counted.)
Best Selling Authors: 6 Months
Lists the authors with the highest total number of unit sales for
all of their eBooks sold within the past 6 months. (Unit sales are simply the number of copies of each
title sold, only eBooks that are not free are counted.)
Highest Rated Recent eBooks
Lists eBooks that have been published by the World Digital eBookstore within the
last 30 days that have the highest average rating as given by
the World Digital eBookstore customers. Only eBooks with at least 5 ratings are
eligible. The average rating is based on: Great=4, Good=3, OK=2,
Poor=1.
All-time Highest Rated eBooks
Lists eBooks with the highest average ratings as given by
the World Digital eBookstore customers. eBooks must have at least 50 ratings to
qualify for this list.
Highest Rated Authors
Lists authors with the highest average rating, including all ratings
for all eBooks by each individual author. An author must have at
least 5 eBooks published on the World Digital eBookstore to qualify for this list
(otherwise there is not a fair sampling of the author's work), and
must have received at least 40 total ratings.
